There has been a recent increase in the integration of social theory in paleopathological research. Social theory plays a significant role in highlighting the various lived experiences of past people by drawing on social elements and addressing how they impact the human skeleton. In this webinar, students and early career scholars discuss the significance of incorporating social theory in paleopathological research. By sharing their own experiences engaging in social theory, panelists will outline the theoretical approaches they use and how these frameworks enrich their interpretations of paleopathological data as well as emphasize the importance of their work for impacted communities. This webinar will be useful for researchers at all career stages and will provide strategies and resources for the integration of theory into future work.
This webinar will be in English and Spanish
